Hello
I am a danish ambient composer and SecondFace is my musical project.
The music is entirely electronic and are made with both hardware and software synths
- with passion.
The style is defined by expansive ambient sounds, featuring elements akin to
Dub-techno, Meditation music and Dark ambient.
The inspiration is drawn from the nature surrounding me, the four distinct
seasons in Denmark, my personal state of mind,
and many years of interest in various forms of electronic music.
My interest with electronic music began in the early 80's.
From techno-pop (Depeche Mode, Human League, Yazoo, Kraftwerk, Jean Michel Jarre etc), to acid-techno (Hard-house, Solar Quest etc), goa-trance (Astral Projection, Man with no Name etc), industrial (Skinny Puppy, Ministry, Front 242, Nitzer Ebb etc), dub (Yagya, Fingers in the Noise, Mikkel Metal etc) and ambient (all artist at Ultimae-records and many others).
In the late 80's I also started to make my own music.
The first synth I bought was an Korg Mono/Poly. A fantastic analog synth. My setup was very small - of course - and I recorded my ideas to a tape-recorder by hanging a microphone in front of my speakers (really oldschool).
At that time I also started to take piano lessons and bought a
"beginner" synth called Yamaha YS100.
I was in a band called "noXcuse" with three very good friends. Our music style were major inspired by Depeche Mode and Front 242. Today we still meet to discuss and listen to music. We find new and old music and play it for each other and have some very good times together doing so.
